You Cannot please everyone

Ok so I had a very crazy day. Today I went to work for 7am. Got there and I saw that a lot of mail arrived! I am like wow! Where did this all come from? Last week I signed up to be on a committee to plan a Christmas Party. It is fun to plan parties but it is not fun to listen to people whine about their "bright ideas". Don't get me wrong I am opened to ideas only if it is way before the majority decides what to do. So anyways, We decided to do a Secret Santa Exchange. Everyone was very happy about doing it except for 1 person. She wanted it her way! She began to tell me how to run the game. I said nice and calm...Well the majority has agreed to go ahead and do the Secret Santa and that is what we are gonna do....We already started drawing names. So she goes I am not playing. One other person didn't like the deli platter idea they wanted Ziti and salad. So whatever...I decided and came to the conclusion that you can not please everyone no matter how much u try.

Around 12:20 I was opening the mail and I noticed that my hands felt very gritty and I looked down at my hands and there was some white residue and I kept wiping the check and it was so gritty! Weird! I mentioned it to another co-worker and she said I should bring it to management. So I did. They took the next step and called security...Everyone got removed from the office and I was asked what happened by security. They inspected it and investigated and determined that it was not hazardous material. So they say. I guess we will find out! Yeah I might have overreacted but you can't mess around with that stuff. About 3 people said I overracted behind my back but Jen stuck up for and I really appreciated it. If I didnt say anything and it was something they wouldnt be happy either so I can't win!

Anyways. Enjoyed a quiet evening home. Went by too quickly!
No Snow! Today! LOL I was all ready for it...I had my boots and snow pants on! Next time!~

Lisa - SAHM = stay at home mom lol I didn't know what that meant until I started blogging, either.

I completely understand about "too much help" with planning parties. I much prefer to say you are doing this and this is how it is. lol

That is wierd how the mail had all that white stuff on it. I sure hope that it is not toxic. Let me know what it turns out to be.

Too bad you didn't get any snow. We had some, but it didn't stick.

Have a great day!

generally speaking, people are morons... and ironically they're usually happier when you don't give a flip what their reaction is! :) And I fail to see how you could have been over-reacting when it was the management that called in security. Hope today was much better for you!
And if you get any snow send it down this way.. PLEASE! (just not until we're done traveling up to PA/MD this weekend... minivan doesn't have 4-wheel drive! =D)
